PAR Plasterseal

PAR Plasterseal 1001 by Kansai is a high performance solvent based sealer that is designed to protect the finish against chalking and efflorescence. Formulated with special resin, PAR Plasterseal 1001 will penetrate deep into the weathered exterior surfaces and form a seal over the powdery surfaces.

DESIGNED USE:

For use as an exterior sealer coat under PAR Weathercoat to protect against mild alkalinity and moisture from the walls, PAR Plasterseal 1001 is ideal as a base sealer for exterior repainting works, especially for bungalows, hospitals, hotels and condominiums.

PERFORMANCE:

  • Excellent adhesion properties that seals surfaces.
  • Very good alkaline resistance.
  • Excellent filling properties.
  • Good build and opacity.
  • No added lead or mercury

APPLICATION:

Drying Times - Surface dry : 1 hour;
Recoat: 4-5 hours (Overnight for the best results).
Dilution - Mineral turpentine.
Cleaning Up - Mineral turpentine.

DILUTION RATIO :

Brush or Roller - Ready for use. if dilution is required, add up to 5% mineral turpentine.
Conventional Spray - Dilution of up to 10% mineral turpentine.
Airless Spray - Ready for use.

Limitations
  • Not suitable for use on newly plastered walls that are not fully cured. PAR Plasterseal 1001 works best on surfaces with a moisture content of below 15% and alkalinity below pH-9 or otherwise premature paint failure may occur
  • Can tolerate slightly damp surfaces but not wet and water saturated surfaces.
  • PAR Plasterseal 1001 is not a waterproofing coating. If waterproofing is required, seed specialist advice.

TEST COLOUR CONTENT:

Testing for use on new or previously painted interior masonry surfaces such as brickwork, plaster and cement rendering where regular cleaning is a pre-requisite.
