DC PRIMER

KANSAI DC Primer 1042 is a premium grade, high performance water based sealer that is designed to protect the finish against chalking and efflorescence. Formulated with special styrene acrylic resins, KANSAI DC Primer will tolerate slightly damp surfaces.

DESIGNED USE:

Designed as a primer coat for use on new or previously painted exterior masonry surfaces such as brickwork, plaster, cement rendering and asbestos cement..

PERFORMANCE:

  • Good adhesion and excellent hiding power.
  • Water based - low odor.
  • Helps prevent premature chalking or efflorescence.
  • No added lead or mercury.

APPLICATION:

Drying Times - Surface dry: 15 min;
Recoat: 1-2 hours.
Dilution - Clean household water.
Cleaning Up - Clean household water.

DILUTION RATIO :

Brush or Roller - Dilution of up to 15% mineral turpentine.
Conventional Spray - Reflective type contains glass beads. It may clog road marking machines and hence, brush application is recommended.

Limitations
  • Not suitable for use on newly plastered walls that are not fully cured. KANSAI DC Primer works best on surfaces with a moisture content of below 15% and alkilinity below pH-9 or otherwise premature paint failure may occur.
  • Can tolerate slightly damp surfaces but not wet and water saturated surfaces. KANSAI DC Primer is not a waterproofing coating. If water proofing is required, seek specialist advice.

TEST COLOUR CONTENT:

Testing for use on new or previously painted interior masonry surfaces such as brickwork, plaster and cement rendering where regular cleaning is a pre-requisite.
